Important Announcements for Students:

  • Reapply Now for Financial Aid!  You must renew your FAFSA for Summer Quarter financial aid. Please see the Financial Aid Office for assistance.  Paper FAFSA forms are no longer available on campus; you may request a paper FAFSA by calling 1-800-433-3243 or apply online.  Please visit www.FAFSA.ed.gov or the Financial Aid page for more information. 
    • Priority date to renew/submit paper FAFSA:  May 9
    • Priority date to renew/submit FAFSA online:  May 23
    • Financial aid applications submitted after priority date will be processed, but funds may not be available on the first day of classes to apply towards tuition and fees or to purchase books. Students submitting a financial aid application after priority date should be prepared to self-pay fees.  All tuition and fees are due by 4:00pm the day before classes begin.  Once financial aid is awarded, student may be eligible for reimbursement.
  • Need help to renew your FAFSA? Come Have Some Snacks and Bring Your Taxes! Financial Aid staff will be available to help you renew your 2008-2009 FAFSA online at the following times:
    • May 13 - 4:00-6:30pm, Main Campus, Bldg. A, Rm. 242
    • May 14 - 8:30-11:00am, Main Campus, Bldg. A, Rm. 242
    • May 15 - 1:00-4:30pm, Mitchell Co. Campus
  • You Said What?  Mark your calendar and plan to attend a student workshop on what to say and what NOT to say during a job interview.  On Wednesday, May 14, from 12:00-1:00pm in Building A, Room 132, Dr. Jeanine Long, Director of Career Placement and Development, will share helpful tips and strategies for a successful interview.  Learn effective techniques to start using at the Job Fair the next day!  Lunch will be provided!
  • Mark your Calendars!  Job Fair 2008 will take place Thursday, May 15 from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Sewell Building (Bldg. D).  Talk with local employers about career information and job opportunities.  More than 40 companies expected to attend.
