Southwest Georgia Technical College offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in four career areas:
You can begin college before you complete High School! Contact your High School Counselor for more information.
The Dual Enrollment Program allows public school students to receive Carnegie unit credit from a public high school and postsecondary credit hours from Southwest Georgia Technical College for the same course. Any student enrolled in a Georgia public high school who is classified as a junior or senior and meets the dual enrollment and admission requirements of Southwest Georgia Technical College is eligible to participate in the Dual Enrollment Program. For more information, students should contact their high school counselor.
Articulation agreements are in place with service area high schools for the purpose of allowing students an opportunity to earn exemption credit in certain courses. Students must make an 85 or better in specific high school subjects, enter SWGTC within 18 months of graduation, and pass an exemption exam or successfully complete their first quarter at SWGTC. The Post Secondary Credit Options program gives students a career path with a minimum of course duplication, yet still allows further education on the collegiate level if desired. Students enrolled in this program are subject to the policies of both Southwest Georgia Technical College and their respective high school.
