Air Conditioning System Maintenance Technician

Course Description: The Air Conditioning System Maintenance Technician certificate program is a series of courses designed to prepare students for entry level positions in the HVACR industry. Topics include refrigeration fundamentals, refrigeration principles and practices, electrical fundamentals, and industrial safety procedures.

Length of Program: One (1) Semester.

Entrance Date: This program is self-paced.  Students may be admitted at the beginning of any semester.

Age: Applicant must be 16 years of age or older.

Education: An applicant must be a high school graduate or the equivalent (GED). College transcripts will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Advisor: A program advisor should be consulted prior to enrolling in any course. An advisor will be assigned by admissions.

Program Final Exit Point: Air Conditioning Systems Maintenance, Technical Certificate of Credit.

Credits Required for Graduation: 12 Minimum semester hour credits required for graduation
