SWGTC Now Offering Business Management Completely Online
Southwest Georgia Technical College (SWGTC) recently announced complete online delivery of the Business Management (MGMT) Associate Degree program.
“The majority of the program has been available online for some time now, but I had struggled with how to develop an online teambuilding course. However, by running the online course in conjunction with the traditional course, I am able to introduce the students to real-life scenarios they are likely to encounter in today’s working world, and the difficulties and unique aspects associated with virtual teams,” said Neil Clements, Business Management Program Director.
The continued addition of alternative delivery methods means the days of students feeling like they need to take breaks in their education is a thing of the past. Traditional, hybrid, and online programs will essentially give each student the flexibility to tailor their program to their individual schedules and lifestyles.
One such student, Warren Kearns, is in his second year of classes as a full-time student, full-time employee, and full-time father to three children. "My experience as an online student at Southwest Georgia Technical College has been one of easy transition back into a scholastic setting. This online opportunity, along with the patience and diligence of each of my instructors, has made it possible to maintain a career and a family life. Earning a degree will provide new career opportunities and improve the quality of my life," commented Kearns.
The Business Management program is a 6 semester associate degree program designed to prepare students for entry into management and supervisory positions within a wide variety of businesses and industries.
